Hilpoltstein is located in the centre of the triathlon county Roth. The competition venues of the well-known DATEV Challenge are just a few metres away, ideal conditions for your training and exploration of the area before the big event.

The region is wide open to you as a bicyclist, located directly on the Gredl bike trail, the newly built Franconian water bike trail and the long-distance bike trail Nuremberg-Munich.
The nearby Jura escarpment also provides mountainbikers with perfect training conditions as they prepare for a trans-alpine tour.
Everything is naturally much easier with an e-bike, which you can rent directly from us at the hotel.
Active holidays
You can head off to the lake called Rothsee to swim, surf, sail or stand-up paddle.
The nearby Franconian Switzerland and the Franconian Jura are perfect places to hike, climb or tackle via ferrata. You can also hop into a canoe and paddle down the family friendly rivers Altmühl, Regnitz, Pegnitz and the well-known Wiesent.
