Our hotel – located between Nuremberg and Munich and just a few minutes from the A9 autobahn – warmly welcomes you to your holiday in the Franconian Lake District!
With our family friendly apartments and studios that come with kitchens and sitting areas, you will have the freedom you need to enjoy a holiday with your family.
But the highlight of the region is located just outside our front door:
The Franconian Lake District
Hilpoltstein is the ideal place to set off on a journey to discover the Franconian Lake District. The Rothsee lake is a next-door neighbour that you can walk or bike around. Your children and you can visit the environmental station of a Bavarian bird protection group called Vogelschutz Bayern e.V. and interactively discover flora and fauna. You can also rent a pedal boat or a stand-up paddle board.
You can also use the new Franconian water bike trail to reach the lakes Altmühlsee and Brombachsee. One other option for bicyclists is the Gredl bike trail that leads to Greding on a former rail line.
Active holidays
No matter whether you are interested in lama trekking, bicycle riding, mountainbiking or parachuting… everything is planned here for your active holiday. We will be happy to organise your summer holiday programme in Bavaria.
Are you more interested in athletic endeavours? Hilpoltstein is located in the centre of the triathlon county Roth. The competition venues of the well-known DATEV Challenge are just a few metres away, ideal conditions for your training and exploration of the area before the big event. You can surf, sail or stand-up paddle on Rothsee lake.
One-day excursions
Our hotel is also ideally located for one-day excursions to historic cities and world heritage sites: The cities of Nuremberg, Ingolstadt, Munich, Bamberg, Bayreuth, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Regensburg and Passau are all located nearby. We will also be happy to arrange for trips to the Neuschwanstein Castle, the Zugspitze mountain or lake Chiemsee for you!
Your entire family and you can also choose from a range of amusement parks located nearby: the Playmobil FunPark, the DinoPark in Denkendorf, the Freizeitland Geiselwind and the Erlebnispark Schloß Thurn.
